There is something so mystical to me about neolithic monuments. The Ring of Brodgar, a neolithic henge, is generally thought to have been erected between 2500 BC and 2000 BC, but the date is not certain. This truly represents the triumphs of the human spirit in early ages. I painted this part of the henge because of the beautiful perspective and the way in which the light shows off the details of one of the stones.
